The AotW for July 6th-12th is Bubby Dent. Mr. Dent ran the USATF Master's Nationals 5000m in Wisconsin on July 9th and finished 8th in a time of 16:47. He also has some sub-16 minute finishes to his credit on the roads this summer. He ran in college at Glenville State (fixed) and still holds the 800m AAA State Meet record. On top of that, he's the dad of some very fast girls and, apparently, cross-trains by savings lives. Buddy Dent ran for Glenville State and is a member of their Athletic Hall of Fame. I do not believe he ever ran for Marshall.
It's great to see someone from the over 40 crowd get Athlete of the Week.
