Athlete of the Week - Matt Schiffbauer

The AotW for March 29th - April 4th is Matt Schiffbauer. Matt ran a 1:55.14/3:55.75 double at the Duke Invitational. Matt is a University High graduate who now runs for the Herd down in Huntington. Best of luck to him through the rest of year.

Athlete of the Week - Clara Grandt

I'm not going to bother putting her picture up again, just scroll down and you'll find it 8 or 9 times. The AotW for March 22nd-28th is Clara Grandt. Clara ran 16:01.18 at the Stanford Invite, leading a large group of Mountaineers (Kate Harrison 16:24.40, Sarah Anne Brault 16:27.66, Ahna Lewis 16:29.94, Stephanie Caruso 17:26.28) in the 5000m. Four Mountaineers under 16:30 is a pretty good day.

Athlete of the Week - Dustin Hall

The AotW for March 15th-21st is Dustin Hall. Mr. Hall ran 15:06.71 for the 5000m down at the Wake Forest Invitational. Dustin was part of a great meet for the WVIAC, and Wheeling Jesuit in particular. Best of luck to him for the rest of his outdoor season.

Athlete of the Week - Chelsea Carrier

The AotW for March 8th - 14th is Chelsea Carrier. Normally a multi wouldn't qualify for AotW (we are a distance site, after all) but the 800m is an event in the hept, so I'm going to make an exception here. Ms. Carrier ran 2:19.49 at the end of the hept to climb the leaderboard to 4th place at NCAA Indoors. A graduate of Buchannon-Upshur, Chelsea also earned an All-America award in the 60H, helping the Mountaineers to a 10th place finish as a team.

Athlete of the Week - Keri Bland

The AotW for March 1st - 7th is Keri Bland. Keri ran 4:37.17 and led the Mountianeers to a stellar meet up at the Armory. Basically everyone that needed a qualifier for nationals, got their qualifier for nationals. Great job everyone. (Yes, I'm doing this a month late, I've been busy...)
