The AotW for October 5th-11th is Matt Schiffbauer of The Thundering Herd. Matt won the Furman Invitational on Saturday in a time of 26:32, beating second place by ten seconds. Mr. Schiffbauer also earned a second consecutive Conference USA Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week for his efforts. Marshall won the meet. Matt and Marshall go to Evansville, Ind. this weekend then have two weeks before the Conf. USA championships on Halloween. Best of luck to him throughout the rest of his cross country season. Tip of the cap to Ron Hamric's sub-3 marathon and to everyone who finished that Glenville St. meet without acquiring mad cow disease.
